Because @vithren needed to be free to create art. And so did all the designers, illustrators and artists looking for more creative control.
Eve V is the first-ever crowd-developed computer. Every detail was discussed, debated and decided on by the eve community—over 1,000 minds working together as one. We are the power.
The most important feature is to have a CPU that doesn't thermally throttle even under extended strain.
We’re not fans of fans. They’re loud, bulky and inefficient. So, in collaboration with Intel®, we designed a unique copper heat pipe cooling system that not only allows the V to run silently at high loads without thermal throttling, it actually outperforms higher-spec devices that use fans. Check out these benchmarks.
We feel the need…the need for speed! With the Intel® 600p PCIe SSD, the V goes from start up to login in under 9 seconds—less than half the time of typical devices (20-30 seconds). File transfers and read speeds are also blazing fast.
The V uses the latest 2×2 MU-MIMO WIFI Antenna to allow you to connect to networks far, far away (like in coffee shops and offices). You can also load files at hyper speed.
When it comes to CPUs, the latest means the best. That means you’ll experience increased productivity and better web performance thanks to 7th Gen Intel® Core™ Processors.
The V’s 48W hour battery is the biggest in it’s class.
Watch all 9 hours and 56 minutes of Game of Thrones season 6 on a single charge.
Edit photos, fill out Excel sheets and answer emails, all without having to plug-in until you get home.
We started by choosing one of the best LCD panels in the world. Each of the nearly five million pixels is turbo-charged by an all new atomic arrangement. The Indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO)-backlight composition enhances each pixel by raising the amount of light transmitted.
The V has one of the most accurate screens on the market. Every V is calibrated individually to guarantee precise, real life color.
The V’s colors pop more as well as allow you to use your V with lower brightness during the day—saving battery and your eyes.
The V display is optically bonded to a sheet of chemically hardened, scratch resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass. So don’t worry about being a little careless at times—you’re protected.
The industrial design team at Propeller in Sweden helped us stay true to our Scandinavian roots. The V has an iconic, timeless design characterized by elegant simplicity and functionality. It’s also extremely comfortable and convenient to use.
Light and strong, the V’s body is only 0.89cm thin.
A combination of low-friction glass, sand-blasted aluminum and luxurious Alcantara fabric make for a high-end visual and tactile experience.
I want a highly portable computer with all of the benefits of a tablet and laptop, without any of the sacrifices.
Because @centrifuge wouldn’t accept the limitations of having a laptop or a tablet. And neither would everyone else who wanted the best of both worlds.Learn More
We’ve put laptop-class hardware and components into the body of a tablet. Yeah, it’s amazing.
Flexibility is key. Tap or type—the V’s touch screen works with or without a keyboard.
A subtle, built-in kickstand lets you easily and conveniently position the V upright for desktop use.
I don't want to lose portability by having to add adapters, docking stations, dedicated chargers etc.

Because @Filip_Ka needed to connect to more than one peripheral at a time. And the same goes for all the power-users, gamers and creators that were fed up with limited ports and having to mess with adapters.
Two is better than one. The V has two full-size USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports keep you connected to the most common peripherals. Each is capable of reaching transfer speeds up to 5 GBps.
To completely future proof your experience, we’ve included one all new USB-C port that can also one-up as a secondary charging port when needed.
One Thunderbolt 3 port offers a top speed of 40 GBps. With it, you can chain-connect the V to multiple devices, such as two 4K displays or even to external graphics cards – all while charging.
The V’s connectivity is perfected by a micro SDXC card slot under the kickstand.
The V comes equipped with an advanced fingerprint reader conveniently hidden under the power button.
The V allows you to securely log in with a single touch. Websites are moving to accept Windows Hello® as the preferred log in method in growing numbers.
Your biometric data is stored in the device, fully encrypted and never uploaded to third parties or online.
V has the best microphones you’ve probably ever tried in a portable device. You don’t need to move closer to the mic anymore when you join a big Skype meeting. And you don’t have to be worried about background noises either. These mics rock
Our audio jack by Texas Instruments delivers insane power and produces arguably the best audio output you’ve ever heard from a tablet, laptop or smartphone. You won’t need a separate audio amp to power your high end headphones. The V has you covered.
The V Pen’s N-Trig touch interface and the metal-mesh touch panel provide enhanced sensitivity and precision.
With 1024 pressure levels, the V Pen lets you sketch, draw, paint or doodle in a way that looks and feels like the real thing.
The V Pen works perfectly with Windows Ink® and cloud-based services such as OneNote®.
Because @iKirin wanted a Bluetooth wireless keyboard for presentations or to pair it with his smartphone. And so did all the other writers, students and bloggers who wanted flexibility and the freedom to work, play and type freely.
Presenting to a group? Want to type on your lap but keep your V on the table? The V keyboard connects securely over Bluetooth® 4.2 so you can work and play—your way.
Been listening to Miles Davis and feeling kind of blue? Or maybe Coldplay has you feeling yellow. Whatever your mood, customize your keyboard backlight color to white, red, green, blue, yellow, pink or turquoise.
The V keyboard uses Alcantara fabric, the same material used in Formula 1 race cars. Not only does it provide a soft, suede-like feel, it’s also super durable and stain resistant. You might be thinking “that’s cool, but how does it stand up against Sriracha sauce?” Click the video below :)
How do you improve a state-of-the-art, best in class mouse pad? Laminate the surface with a low friction glass material for an ultra smooth feel.
To all the anti-virus services, games, “assistants”, trial versions, plugins, pop-ups and advertisers who make deals to grow their user base by being included by default rather than by demand (you know who you are), we have 2 words for you (no, no not those 2 words :)
We’ll decide for ourselves what we want to install on our V.
Because @pauliunas wanted an aluminum unibody to improve heat dissipation and so did everyone else who wanted to increase performance and look good doing it.Learn More
The origins of the V’s case lie in one of the many bauxite mines of the world. This raw material is then refined into solid aluminium blocks. Each V is then carved from a single piece of aluminum, making it thinner, lighter and more importantly, stronger, than traditional device housings.
Computer controlled drills actualize the vision of the design in a precise and delicate manner. There are more than 50 steps involved in its creation.
